Chocolate Cake

Today, 7th August is my mom's birthday and since she is here to visit us so i had planned to bake Black Forest cake but due to some time constraint and the time involved in its preparation, i dropped the idea and just baked this simple Chocolate Cake. I'l surely make Black Forest before she leaves.

This cake turns out very soft and delicious and my mom just loved it. She always tell her friends these days, that after coming to US i have become a very good cook. Yes, I have and i know because my passion to try something different at home that i have in some restaurant or at friends place

Here's my method of Chocolate Cake.

Ingredients
  • 1 and 2/3C All Purpose Flour
  • 1 and 1/2C Sugar
  • 1 and 1/2C Milk
  • 1/2C Butter
  • 2/3C Cocoa Powder
  • 1 and 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Eggs
Method
1. Preheat Oven at 400 F and grease the baking dish with butter and freeze it.

2. Sieve together Flour, Baking Soda and Cocoa Powder.

3. In large bowl, beat Butter and Sugar until mixed well with electric mixture.

4. Now add 1 egg at a time and keeping beating. It becomes fluffy.

5. Also add milk and salt. Mix well.

6. Add 1 tbsp of flour at a time while mixing it continuously.

7. After mixing the entire flour mixture, add vanilla essence and beat the mixture for another 5 minutes.

8. Pour the mixture into baking dish.

9. Bake it at 400F for 30 mins or until skewer or knife inserted comes out clean.

10. Let Cool and Serve.

After Cake cutting, i served this cake with Strawberry Banana Ice cream.

Serving Suggestions
1. It can be served as is.

2. Can be served with Strawberry Ice cream.
