Rava Ladoo/Sooji ke Ladoo

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY n HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN to my Sweet little brother Anu.

I prepared this Sooji Ladoos for you far away from you here to celebrate our special day.

Ingredients
  • 1C Sooji
  • 1C Water
  • 3/5C Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/3C crushed almonds/Silvered almonds[i used crushed almonds]
  • Handful raisins
  • pinch of yellow color
  • Ghee
Method
1. Heat Ghee in a pan and add Sooji.

2. Fry until it becomes slightly brown and starts giving its unique aroma.

3. Now add almonds and raisins. Keep aside in some plate.


4. Now heat water and sugar in the same pan. Also add color and boil for 2-3 minutes.

5. Turn off the heat.

6. Now add sooji slowly to the above sugar concentrate and keep stirring to avoid lumps.

7. Add cardamom powder and mix it well.

8. The mixture may look slight thin but its perfectly fine as sooji absorbs water so let it cool for
10-15 minutes.


9. As it reaches temperature easy to handle, apply some ghee on hands and shape in the form
ladoos.
10. Store in an air tight container.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with tea.

It can also be served after lunch or dinner as a dessert.


Note: Can be microwaved for 10 seconds before serving.
